One moment

sometimes when time stands still

something inside the heart fills

maybe at somebody, I get mad

less angry, more sad

every day has it's moments of truth

when I feel like standing aloof

still, there's a lot in life more than tears

when I let go all my fears

there's this sweet memory I pick from the pile

it warms my heart, makes me smile

I thank the love for you in my heart

which holds things from falling apart

when I pick one, there are many more

there's not a page from it I tore

all intact, well preserved for life

love is simple, easy and not a strife

just need to turn around and start looking

all has been given without taking

there's someone special to love still

and that's what my heart will fill

why should I remember the hurt

things like, not me, you first

thank God for the smile I get when I think of you

if I feel it so real in me, it's true
